The "kebaya" is a traditional garment widely known among women in Indonesia, typically worn on specific occasions such as graduations, weddings, and official state events.

For urban women, the "kebaya" embodies multiple identities; it serves not only as national and regional attire but also reflects personal, gender, class, and multicultural identities.
